Blackheath Community Theatre

Blackheath Community Theatre (BCT) and Blackheath Community Youth Theatre (BCYT) provide a dedicated creative outlet for individuals interested in drama within South East London. Established in July 2025 under the guidance of Artistic Director Simon Geal, the organisation focuses on improving confidence, self-expression, and performance skills through ensemble work, classic scripts, and diverse acting techniques. The theatre company is proudly hosted by Age Exchange at the Bakehouse Theatre, where they conduct group sessions for both adults and young people. In addition to regular drama classes, the team offers individual tuition for LAMDA acting exams, audition preparation, and professional presentation coaching. The programmes are structured into academic terms, culminating in public performances that showcase the students' development and hard work. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, the organisation welcomes students of all levels and ages to explore everything from comedy and tragedy to modern and classical performance styles. Whether engaging in group storytelling and role play for younger members or rigorous ensemble training for adults, the company remains committed to high-quality drama education and community enrichment.
