A historic, independently run pub in Canary Wharf, serving traditional ales, seasonal cocktails, and homemade sourdough pizzas, offering guest accommodation in a setting with rich local industrial heritage.
Established in 1835, The Ship Inn is a historic, independently run pub located in the heart of Canary Wharf. The venue has a deep connection to local industrial history, situated next to the former Burrells Wharf where Isambard Kingdom Brunel launched the Great Eastern steamship in 1858. Today, the pub maintains its traditional character while serving a wide selection of ice-cold beers, interesting ales, and seasonal cocktails. Visitors can enjoy a lively atmosphere with three large-screen televisions showing all major sports, a selection of board games, a weekly poker night on Mondays, and a pub quiz every Sunday from 8pm. The kitchen serves delicious homemade sourdough pizzas daily, excluding Mondays, featuring seasonally changing menus. In addition to its pub services, The Ship Inn offers guest accommodation through several uniquely named rooms, including the Isambard, Brunel, and Kingdom rooms, each providing comfortable amenities like Wi-Fi and smart TVs for visitors staying in London.
