Autumn and May is a contemporary jewellery boutique in Greenwich Market, just yards from the River Thames and the Meridian Line, founded in 1993 on the idea that the most beautiful pieces are the ones that carry meaning. The name brings together two seasons: autumn for richness and warmth, and May for beginnings, love and promises made for a lifetime. The showcases hold engagement rings, wedding bands, diamonds and gemstones alongside everyday silver and gold earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings, and pieces from designer jewellers, including Welsh gold from Clogau, each chosen for its design, craftsmanship and longevity. Browsing is encouraged, and the team are happy to explain diamond cuts and precious metals in plain language, so choosing feels like a conversation rather than a transaction. In the workshop, experienced craftspeople handle repairs in gold, platinum, palladium and silver, from ring resizing with laser soldering to restoring heirloom and designer pieces, which are fully insured while in their care. Bespoke commissions combine traditional goldsmithing and contemporary design, and pieces can be engraved with family crests, artwork or meaningful phrases.
