Blackheath's much-loved concert hall, bringing people together since 1895: classical music, opera, family shows and community arts, a friendly bar, and spaces for hire at the foot of the village.
At the bottom of Blackheath village, where Lee Road meets Lee Terrace, Blackheath Halls has been the area's cultural living room since 1895. It's a registered charity and part of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and its mission is simple: open the doors to everyone.
The programme is wonderfully varied. Expect orchestral and chamber concerts, opera productions with professional singers and local choruses, folk and roots gigs, children's shows and festivals such as the London International Festival of Early Music, plus concerts from Trinity Laban's students. The Great Hall, with its raked seating, is the main stage, and the more intimate Hearn Recital Room hosts smaller recitals and events.
Before the show
The friendly, cashless bar serves wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks, opening an hour before each performance and staying open afterwards. You can even pre-order your interval drinks so they're waiting for you.
Hire the Halls
The Great Hall and Recital Room are available for performances, rehearsals, filming and private events, from parties to celebrations.
