A volunteer-run museum inside The Valley's Covered End, packed with Charlton Athletic memories: the 1947 FA Cup win, the famous 1998 play-off final and the emotional return home in 1992.
Tucked into the Covered End at The Valley, the Charlton Athletic Museum is a labour of love by volunteer supporters who want to preserve the club's heritage for fans and the local community.
The displays bring the big days back to life. There's memorabilia from the 1947 FA Cup final win at Wembley, including medals, tickets, photographs and manager Jimmy Seed's handwritten report on the match. The 1998 play-off final, when Charlton beat Sunderland 7-6 on penalties after a 4-4 draw to reach the top flight, is celebrated with Clive Mendonca's shirt, boots and medal. And there's a section on 5 December 1992, when the club came home to The Valley after seven years away.
It's a lovely way to spend half an hour before a home game, and a must for anyone with Addicks in the family. The museum also runs a virtual museum on its website.
