Indoor climbing at The O2 for ages four and up: colourful auto-belay challenges, an 11m traditional wall and London's tallest vertical drop slide, plus parties and group sessions.
Clip 'n Climb at The O2 is an indoor climbing centre on Greenwich Peninsula, built for climbers aged four and up, from first-timers to experienced climbers. The arena is packed with colourful climbing challenges and is home to a 10-metre vertical drop slide, London's tallest and one of only two in the UK. For those who want something more traditional, there is also an 11-metre climbing wall with six lines and twelve routes.
Every challenge uses automatic belay technology, so you don't need a partner on the rope or any climbing experience. A standard session lasts an hour: about 20 minutes for signing in, harness fitting and a full safety briefing from the arena staff, then 40 minutes climbing. All equipment is provided at no extra cost, and free lockers and cubbies are big enough for coats and small bags. Just bring comfortable clothes, trainers and a water bottle.
Mini Mountaineers sessions introduce little ones to climbing, and there are SEN sessions with a shorter, video-based briefing. Birthday parties combine a climbing session with time in the party room, and the centre welcomes schools, Scouts, Guides, Cadets, youth groups, sports teams and corporate team-building groups. Children under 18 need a responsible adult on site. Weekends and school holidays get busy, so booking ahead is recommended.
