Emergency Exit Arts

Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) is an established outdoor arts company and registered charity that has been resident in Rothbury Hall, Greenwich, for over 35 years. Founded in 1980 as an artists' collective, the organization is dedicated to transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary stages through visual performance, puppetry, processions, music, and pyrotechnics. As a National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England, EEA focuses on enriching lives by empowering communities and helping individuals unlock their creative potential through workshops, collaborations, and immersive experiences. Their work frequently takes place in public realms, such as streets, parks, and town squares, designed to engage, provoke, and celebrate the shared human experience. Beyond creating their own awe-inspiring art, EEA provides bespoke creative solutions for a wide range of partners, including local authorities, festivals, and cultural organizations. Committed to social change and inclusivity, the company works extensively to support economically excluded communities and foster artistic voices, ensuring their impactful, transformative arts experiences remain accessible to the public.
