Just along from Greenwich station and the town centre, Greenwich Picturehouse is the neighbourhood's go-to cinema. Its five screens show a thoughtful mix of the big new releases, independent and world cinema, restored classics and live broadcasts of theatre, opera, concerts and exhibitions on screen.
There's always something a little different on, from Q&As and quiz nights to dog-friendly screenings and family films, with all child tickets at a bargain price. The café and bar is a lovely spot for a coffee, a bite or a pre-film drink.
Picturehouse membership brings free tickets, discounts on food and drink, and priority booking, and there are cheaper tickets early in the week.
