Hortus

Hortus is an independent shop on Blackheath Village that pairs a carefully chosen collection for the home and garden with an award-winning garden design and landscaping business. The shop stocks homewares, plants, pots, tools and garden furniture, chosen with intention rather than to offer everything: professional garden tools and tool care, watering cans and gloves, grow-your-own kits, outdoor pots and fire pits, wildlife products, and outdoor furniture and lighting from brands such as Fermob and Fatboy. Indoors there are houseplants with pots, feeds and watering kit, vases and dried flowers, and a home and lifestyle range that runs from kitchen linens, crockery and cookbooks to candles, body care, cushions, throws, children's toys and accessories. Behind the shop, the Hortus garden team designs and builds gardens across South East and Central London, working alongside award-winning garden designers; their work has received a Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and has been featured in a number of publications. Garden consultations can be booked through the website, and the full range can also be bought online. It is a lovely place to browse for a gift, a new houseplant or the right tool for a weekend in the garden.
