An award-winning community shop and gallery on Royal Hill selling handmade gifts, art and crafts by artists and makers from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, run as a not-for-profit social enterprise.
Made in Greenwich is a community shop on Royal Hill, opposite the old Borough Town Hall, stocked entirely with work by local artists and makers. It's a lovely place to find a one-off present: think ceramics, prints and paintings, jewellery, textiles, cards and handmade gifts, all made in and around the borough.
The shop is a social enterprise run by GCDA, a local not-for-profit, and its takings go back into supporting the makers and community projects. Its gallery space hosts changing exhibitions by local and visiting artists, and the shop also runs workshops and has a room to hire. It won High Street Retailer of the Year at the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards.
Local makers can apply to be stocked; the shop's curation panel meets monthly.
