Maree London Jewellery is the studio of designer and maker Maria Thompson, tucked away at 32 The Market on Turpin Lane in the heart of Greenwich. Maria discovered metalwork while studying sculpture and graduated in Jewellery and Metalsmithing from De Montfort University in 2001. Her aim is jewellery that is understated but eye-catching: classic pieces you can wear every day for years, rather than this season's trend.
Her own collections include the Flower Collection, with lotus, lily, daisy and daffodil pendants in silver, gold and rose gold; the Stunning Stone Collection of delicate gemstone and pearl pieces; the Love Heart Collection; and designer silver cufflinks, alongside engagement and wedding rings.
The studio is also a working repair bench: ring resizing, replacing and resetting stones, chain and bracelet repairs, necklace and bracelet restringing, cleaning, engraving and restoration, in silver, gold and platinum. For something unique, Maria offers a bespoke design and commission service, including reworking family heirlooms, which starts with a free 30-minute consultation in person or by video call.
