Tucked away on a corner of Royal Hill, a few minutes' walk from the centre of Greenwich, this family restaurant has been serving Spanish and Latin American food since 2010. Many locals still know it as The Hill; today it trades as Matiz on The Hill, led by founder and father Alyvar Villamagua.
The menu is built on family recipes the team hold dear: generous paellas, colourful plates for sharing, and plenty of sangria and cocktails to go with them. Diners love the relaxed, friendly feel, and there's live music on some evenings, which makes it a great choice for birthdays and get-togethers.
