Family-run weekend market in Royal Greenwich with vintage, retro, handmade and craft stalls, international street food and a licensed refreshment cabin with covered seating.
The Greenwich Vintage Market is a family-run market on Greenwich Church Street, in the heart of Royal Greenwich, open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is vintage by name but not strictly vintage by nature: over the years its traders have grown into an eclectic mix of vintage, modern, traditional, retro, handmade and craft stalls, with goods at competitive prices. Jewellery traders cover vintage and costume pieces as well as handmade silver and resin designs. China and pottery runs from vintage Royal Doulton to retro Hornsea, and home decor stalls offer everything from an original wagon wheel to a polished Georgian dressing table, with plenty of quirky and up-cycled pieces in between. There are handmade cushion covers and vintage beaded Indian bedspreads, vintage books and radios, and local makers selling natural, environmentally friendly soaps and handmade candles. Street food traders bring international flavours, and the market's own refreshment cabin sells hot and cold food and drink and is licensed for beer and wine, with a covered seating area for a well-earned cuppa. The market is fully accessible, and with Greenwich Park, the Cutty Sark and the Queen's House all close by, it is easy to make a day of it.
