The Hive

The Hive provides an innovative approach to outdoor learning, rooted in the principles of Forest School. Unlike traditional multi-activity clubs, The Hive immerses children aged 3 to 11 in original, narrative-driven missions designed to spark curiosity, resilience, and independence. Through project-based activities—such as woodland shelter building, bushcraft, wild cooking, and outdoor filmmaking—children engage with real-world challenges using authentic tools and materials. Each mission is facilitated by a diverse team of skilled professionals, including artists, scientists, and bushcraft specialists, who prioritize small group sizes to ensure meaningful support and individual growth. Beyond their holiday camps, The Hive operates a fully outdoor forest school nursery and provides accredited training for aspiring educators. Their programs take place in exceptional natural settings, offering children rare opportunities to connect deeply with nature, develop practical skills, and take ownership of their own learning journey. Whether tracking imaginary creatures or mastering scientific concepts in the woods, every experience is carefully crafted to be imaginative, purposeful, and genuinely rewarding for every child involved.
