The Rivershop is a hands-on craft workshop in the Thames-Side Studios complex by the river in west Woolwich. Founder Richard Wagner, a woodworker since 2006, set it up to share his love of making through practical, friendly classes for all levels.
Courses cover epoxy-resin art (from ocean-wave pours to river tables), carpentry projects such as garden planters, chopping boards and walnut boxes, and practical DIY skills. All tools and materials are provided, along with aprons, and you go home with what you've made. Group sessions and bespoke bookings work well for team days, birthdays and gifts, and seasonal workshops include Christmas wreath-making.
Sustainability is a big part of the ethos, with eco-friendly materials where possible and a tree planted for every ticket sold. Free on-site parking is available.
