About The O2
The O2 is one of Greenwich Peninsula’s defining landmarks and a major London entertainment destination. The complex sits beneath the former Millennium Dome’s distinctive white roof and brings together The O2 arena, indigo at The O2, Up at The O2, outlet shopping, restaurants, bars and a growing range of leisure attractions. The arena can host up to 20,000 people for concerts, sport and large-scale live events, while the wider destination works throughout the day for shopping, food and entertainment. Up at The O2 adds a separate visitor experience, taking climbers across the roof to a summit platform with views across Greenwich, Canary Wharf, the Thames and wider London. The site is closely connected to North Greenwich Underground station, North Greenwich Pier, the London Cable Car and riverside walking routes, making it a useful anchor point for exploring the wider Peninsula rather than only an event venue.
Worth knowing
Why visit?
Visit The O2 for major live events, the Up at The O2 roof climb, outlet shopping, cinema and leisure attractions, or as the starting point for a wider Greenwich Peninsula day. Its location beside the Thames makes it easy to combine with The Tide, riverside walks, public art, Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park and onward travel towards historic Greenwich.

Useful visitor tips
Check event and transport information before setting off, especially on major show nights. Arrive early if you plan to eat or explore the Peninsula before an event. North Greenwich station is usually the simplest public-transport option. Consider travelling by boat or combining the visit with a riverside walk for a more relaxed day.
