Greenwich Theatre on Crooms Hill is a charity and one of London's leading Off-West End theatres. This year's panto runs 27 Nov to 10 Jan.
Greenwich Theatre on Crooms Hill is one of London's leading Off-West End theatres, and a registered charity. Built in 1969, it presents a year-round programme of established and emerging work, and helps artists develop new shows and take them on tour, so new work is at the centre of everything it does.
It is known for its theatre for children and young people and, above all, for its award-winning family pantomime, a Greenwich Christmas tradition. Dame Helen Mirren is a patron.
The theatre relies on its audiences. Less than 10% of its income comes from public funding, so ticket sales, the bar, hires and the support of Friends, Angels and donors keep it running. Captioned, BSL-interpreted and audio-described performances are available, with access registration and companion tickets.
The simplest way to support it is to book a seat. Coming up:
2 to 5 November: Macbeth
Saturday 14 November: The Untold Fable of Fritz
Friday 20 November: Deptford Scratch, Global Majority Spotlight
Saturday 21 November: The Tale of the Loneliest Whale
27 November 2026 to 10 January 2027: this year's pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk
