The Queen's House Ice Rink is back in Greenwich, London for winter 2026, with skating in front of the Queen's House in the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. Here are the dates, prices, offers and tips we could confirm, plus where to warm up afterwards. Every detail was checked 1 November 2026 on the official Royal Museums Greenwich page and the rink's own website.

Dates

The rink is open to the public from Wednesday 18 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, except on Christmas Day. Both Royal Museums Greenwich and the rink's own site give these dates.

Opening times: check before you go

The two official sources currently give different opening times. Royal Museums Greenwich lists the rink as open 10am to 9pm. The rink's own website says it opens at 11am and closes at 9pm, with the last session starting at 8pm. Until they match, please check both before you set off: the Royal Museums Greenwich ice rink page and the Queen's House Ice Rink website.

Sessions and prices

Skating sessions last up to 45 minutes, and the rink recommends arriving 30 to 40 minutes before your session to get ready. The rink's website lists prices from £19 for adults, from £16.50 for children and from £49.95 for a family.

New this season, you can change your ticket date and time up to 24 hours before your session. There is also a new VIP ticket, £6 more than a standard ticket, which includes a dedicated boot hire desk, fast-lane entry to the ice, free bag check and a complimentary hot drink or house beverage.

Offers and special sessions

The rink lists several offers for 2026. Locals get 20% off on Mondays and Tuesdays with the code LCLOVE2026, students skate from £10 on Student Nights, and kids skate free on Tuesdays. There are £5 Community Sessions and Quiet Skates for anyone who prefers a calmer setting, plus offers for Blue Light workers and parents with little ones. Royal Museums Greenwich adds that there are special sessions for toddlers, students and SEND families, and group discounts. Check the rink's site for the dates and terms of each offer.

The rink's site also says this year's rink has doubled in size while keeping the same capacity, so it should feel more spacious. There's a skate-off pit lane for mid-session breaks and a viewing area, according to Royal Museums Greenwich. The rink is run by Tamarisk Events.

Make a day of it

The Queen's House itself is free to enter, and Santa's Grotto at the Queen's House runs from 14 November to 24 December (£30 per person, plus a booking fee). The National Maritime Museum is next door and also free to enter. See our guide to Santa's grottos in Greenwich, London.
