Community Spotlight: South East London Mind (Greenwich)
South East London Mind supports Greenwich residents from The Forum @ Greenwich: counselling, peer support groups, workshops and wellbeing sessions.
South East London Mind is the local mental health charity, and its Greenwich services are based at The Forum @ Greenwich on Trafalgar Road. It moved there in September 2025 after more than 45 years at Ormiston Road, and its Greenwich services are for residents of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The range of support is wide. There is counselling for Greenwich residents, including crisis, relationship and culturally sensitive counselling, along with peer support groups, mental health workshops, Yoga for All, a mindfulness group and nature walks in Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park.
Some groups are for particular needs: Mindful Mums and Being Dad for new parents, The Turning Corner for young people aged 18 to 30, Queer Space and Queer Minds for LGBTQIA+ people, a men's therapy group, employment support and a suicide bereavement service. With Oxleas NHS and Bridge Support, the charity also runs the Greenwich Mental Health Hub.
Groups change from time to time, so the website is the best place to see what is running now.
If you would like to help, South East London Mind welcomes donations, volunteers and fundraisers, and its Jobs and Volunteering pages list current opportunities.
