Christmas Markets and Fairs in Greenwich, London and Blackheath 2026

Christmas shopping is better when it's local, and Greenwich, Blackheath and their neighbours have a run of festive fairs and markets coming up, starting with the Blackheath Christmas Fair in mid-November. Here is every one we could confirm for 2026, with dates, times, entry prices and how to make a day of it. Every detail comes from the organiser's own website, checked 1 November 2026.

Blackheath Christmas Fair, Sunday 15 November

The Age Exchange Christmas Fair returns to the Great Hall at Blackheath Halls on Sunday 15 November 2026, from 10:30am. Now in its 13th year, it brings together 42 hand-picked makers and traders, with handmade crafts, Christmas gifts, books, decorations, stocking fillers, children's activities and a raffle. The café is open all day for seasonal refreshments, cakes and light lunches.

Age Exchange

Museum & Heritage · Blackheath

A Blackheath-founded arts and reminiscence charity whose village hub has a not-for-profit café, a volunteer-run community library, a monthly book sale and rooms to hire.

Entry is £3 and under-16s go free. All proceeds support Age Exchange, its Creative Dementia programme and Blackheath Community Library. Details are on the Blackheath Halls event page and the Age Exchange Christmas Fair page.

Make a day of it: Blackheath Village is right on the doorstep. Stop for a coffee at Montpeliers or Boulangerie Jade, then browse independent shops such as Postmark and Hortus.

Greenwich Market

Greenwich Market is open every day from 10am to 5:30pm, with makers, artists, food stalls and small shops under one roof, which makes it an easy place to tick off a gift list. The market's Christmas season starts with its Lantern Parade and Christmas Lights Switch-On on Wednesday 18 November 2026, from 4pm to 6pm. Local primary school children parade handmade lanterns through the Old Royal Naval College and Cutty Sark Gardens to the market, and the crowd counts down to the switch-on at 5pm. Make a day of it: The Greenwich Vintage Market and Music & Video Exchange are a minute away on Greenwich Church Street, and Goddards at Greenwich on King William Walk is the classic Greenwich pie-and-mash stop.

Blackheath Farmers Market, every Sunday

The Blackheath Farmers Market runs every Sunday in the Blackheath Station car park and is a good place to pick up seasonal food and drink for Christmas from independent farmers and producers. Check its listing for the latest times before you go.

Charlton House & Gardens Christmas Fair, 5 and 6 December

Charlton House holds its Christmas Market and Craft Fair on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026, with doors opening at 11am. Expect talented makers, independent traders and artisan producers, plus seasonal entertainment, food and drink. Entry to the fair is free. Santa's Grotto runs during the fair, with timed slots from 11am to 3:30pm at £10 per child (adults go free), bookable in advance. See the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust fair page.

Make a day of it: the grounds and Peace Garden are worth a wander, and Charlton Park is next door.

Ladywell Christmas Market, Saturday 5 December

The Ladywell Christmas Market fills St Mary's, the parish church on Lewisham High Street, on Saturday 5 December 2026, from 11am to 3pm. Stalls from local artisans, crafters and small businesses go up between the pews and along the aisles. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Details are on the Lewisham Parish website.

Small Business Saturday, 5 December

Saturday 5 December is also Small Business Saturday UK, a good excuse to spend your Christmas budget with the independents on your doorstep. Our local guide lists hundreds of Blackheath and Greenwich businesses, from delis and bakers to galleries and gift shops.

Not yet confirmed for 2026

When we checked, we couldn't find confirmed 2026 dates for a Christmas market at the Old Royal Naval College, for the Greenwich Peninsula winter market, or for the Deptford, Lewisham and Woolwich winter markets.
